About Lotfi House

It’s been about a century since Lotfi family has been active in the field of Nomadic and other rural parts of Iran textures. Alireza Lotfi is the third generation of this family who has spent his childhood in an artistic and art-loving family, and has occasionally gone on business trips with his father. He started his business activity in 1993 and since he is the oldest child of the family, he thinks he should carry on the family business legacy. After passing internships with his father, which started when he was a child, and using the experience of his previous generations and his own experience in recognizing various rural nomadic textures and of course all handicrafts of different ethnic groups of Iran and after collecting an exquisite collection of these textures which are generally more than 100 years old, has decided to produce and recreate them, which is based on the up to date taste and application in modern and traditional spaces, according to new colors and designs, and the combination of different texture techniques. His work record includes 6 years of teaching at Tehran University of Arts, winning the Crystal Shoulder Award at Tehran Carpet Exhibition, as well as being a finalist for 2 years at Domotex Carpet Award, and winning four German Carpet Domotex Awards for four continuous years. Based on all these experiences, this brand pursues a new goal which is to attain an easier and faster access to ordering one’s favorite - regarding the color, design, and size – from this company’s goods which are produced by an experienced and creative group of people.

What makes our products different

In every production process, those who are in charge try to offer the best quality and the best price. This is not possible without the help of a lot of experience. However, the experience of a generation cannot achieve this on its own. What sets us apart from other manufacturers is the experience of several generations and researches conducted during 30 consecutive years, that have helped us to be able to understand in which geographical areas and using what weaving techniques and materials for production, but the most important thing is to add spirit and feeling in the textures. In most countries of the world that produce weaves, weavers, although they create hand-woven, they look like a numb machine that creates a copy of what they have been given in return of wages. On the other hand, we have been able to produce our goods using weavers who love this work and also to produce the design and pattern according to the design and color that every weaver likes to weave. And in the designs, we also use the weavers’ point of view, which has caused a sense of participation and love, and the weaver transfers a part of his own soul and love to the weaved texture during weaving it. This is the indescribable spice we tend to add in the production of a work of art. Since this feeling comes from the heart of the designer, dyers, weavers, and other members of the production team of our brand, it establishes an emotional connection with the viewer.
